Activity at Miura Port (Green Sea Turtle)

You may swim and touch them if you'd be lucky.
The Kuchino-Erabu Senior Group is engaged in research and protection activities to protect such beautiful sea turtles and their habitat.
We are currently trying to identify individual turtles and monitor their
presence at Kuchinoerabu-jima. This will allow us to determine if their
turtles are visitors or residents of Kuchinoerabu-jima.
The individual turtles were identified by comparing the pattern difference
of the turtle shell using with their photo copies.

On the Mukae-hama beach in the May-September,
In order to protect sea turtles, Erabu Senior Group is engaged in research
and protection activities.
